Literally a dozen or so days ago Kerry King announced the release of his first solo album, announced his own shows, including the one on Mystic Festival, he assured that he would come back Slayer no chance, and he and Tom Araya hadn’t talked for a long time, and they hadn’t been able to get along for a long time. There was no reason not to believe the musician, right? It looks like we’ve had one of the biggest screw-ups in metal history – SLAYER IS BACK ON THE STAGE!

Slayer is back!
As announced on Wednesday, February 21, Slayer will headline Riot Festival (September 22) and Louder Than Life (September 27). This marks the great return of the thrash metal legend, who ended his tour in 2019, to the stage following five years. The band will perform in the following lineup: Tom Araya (bass, vocals), guitarists Kerry King and Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph on drums! Legend issued an official statement in which its members say:
Nothing compares to 90 minutes of us being on stage, playing live, sharing that intense energy with our fans – and honestly, we’ve missed it,” Araya said.
Did I miss playing live? Absolutely. Slayer means a lot to our fans, and they mean a lot to us. It’ll be five years since we last saw them, adds Kerry King.
