The calling Apple Immersive Video is a format that uses high-resolution three-dimensional videos and Spatial Audio to place viewers at the center of the audiovisual experience — and Maçã is investing well in this technology. Proof of this is that the company shared information today about upcoming content of this type that will premiere on Vision Pro free.
Before we check out what they will be, it is worth highlighting the debut of “Submerged” this Thursday (10/10) — the first scripted short film captured on Apple Immersive Video. The company also shared behind-the-scenes images from the production, which show the camera used by the filmmakers to capture 3D videos in 8K resolution with a 180º view.
Some of the upcoming productions have already been announced previously and are gaining new content. Without further ado, let’s check them out below.
“2024 NBA All-Star Weekend”
On October 18th (a Friday), basketball fans will enjoy a short film from NBA All-Star Weekend de 2024which will feature rising basketball stars, the Slam Dunk contest, the first NBA vs. WNBA and All-Star Game highlights.
“Concert for One”
O “Concert for One” will be Apple Immersive Video’s first music series, bringing fans closer to their favorite artists. The inaugural performance will be performed by BRIT Award winner, RAYE.
“Adventure”
In the third episode of “Adventure”diver Ant Williams will try to surpass his record for longest distance under ice with just one breath. Called “Ice Dive”the episode will premiere in the United States in December.
Furthermore, at the beginning of next year, spectators will be able to visit the beaches of Mallorca (Spain), where sports climber Kai Lightner will face his biggest challenge: climbing the isolated and rocky coves alone.
“Elevated”
In the next episode of “Elevated”which will be available early next year, viewers will experience a New England autumn — with a stunning journey along winding coastlines and above local rivers.
This new content joins the growing Apple Immersive Video catalog, which includes “Alicia Keys: Rehearsal Room”, “Boundless, Prehistoric Planet Immersive”, “Wild Life” and more — all available in the Apple TV app on Vision Pro.
Apple Immersive Video is available at no additional cost in the Apple TV app in countries where Vision Pro is on sale. In China, specifically, it is also possible to access this content in the Migu Video and Tencent Video applications, which are available for free in the visionOS App Store.
