SKY Introduces New Low-Cost Lima-Montevideo & Lima-Florianópolis Routes, Connecting South America

SKY announced new Lima-Montevideo and Lima-Montevideo-Florianópolis routes, being the first low cost to travel to both destinations. With this, the airline is connecting Peru with other countries in the region, as well as Uruguay and Brazil. José Raúl Vargas, the general manager, had an appreciation of this expansion strategy.

“We are proud to launch our 7th and 8th international destination from Lima, as part of our commitment to South American connectivity. We bet on routes with high demand and great potential in the Peruvian market. Montevideo is a metropolis with great tourist and business potential, and Florianópolis is one of the most popular vacation paradises”.

The low-cost airline began ticket sales starting this Thursday, August 31, with prices ranging from US$174 or S/662 to travel from Lima to Montevideo per section with taxes included. To travel from Lima to Florianópolis, there is a cost of US$ 188 or S/715.

This promotion will be available from August 31 to September 8, 2023, and will apply for trips made from January 2 to March 31, 2024.

Flights to Florianápolis will start on January 2, 2024 and will initially have three weekly frequencies. In this way, SKY will transport 6,000 passengers on a monthly basis, between the sections that connect these three cities.

On the other hand, SKY will also add the Santiago-Montevideo and Santiago-Montevideo-Salvador de Bahía routes, increasing the airline’s presence in the region.
