SKY, known for being one of the pioneers of cable TV in Brazil, has planned considerable expansion for its recently created fiber optic internet service. The company expects its fiber optic internet to reach more than 30 million homes e 100 million people throughout Brazil.
Not only SKY FIBRA, but also SKY Plus, its live TV and streaming service, will see an increase of approximately 300% compared to the year 2023. This data shows the company’s adaptation to the new way of consuming audiovisual entertainment that we have increasingly seen in Brazil.
At a convention that brought together SKY’s commercial partners and strategic allies, Darío Werthein, current president of Vrio Corp, commented on his objective to solve problems and demands from his various types of customers:
The demand for connectivity requires increasingly accessible and effective responses: working with neutral networks is a valuable strategy to make infrastructures more efficient, focusing on giving the customer the best service, with the stability and speed needed to work and receive medical care , study, develop projects and make purchases, in addition to accessing entertainment and information, areas in which SKY is a specialist
Os SKY FIBRA services began in August 2022 and, since then, has shown increasing growth over the years. This evolution is thanks to technological investment and the company’s partnerships with neutral network providers in Brazil. Currently, SKY’s internet service is available in 200 cities.
This number is expected to double to 400 this year. SKY FIBRA, in 2023, recorded double-digit growth and now, in 2024, the forecast is for six-digit growth. Recently, the company signed a contract with the neutral network of Hi to expand your connection across Brazil.
