Skull and Bones was planned for the line-up of this Ubisoft Forward. As its release slowly approaches, the pirate game has been packed full of info with gameplay and some additional details.

Sail on the gameplay

Skull and Bones recently had the right to a dedicated event. But that was not enough for the developers who still had a lot to show us regarding their game. The Ubisoft Forward was therefore an opportunity to come back to the gameplay of the title. The hideouts of pirates have thus been revealed a little more. Each player will have his own and it is from the latter that he can launch missions or shape his ship before leaving for great adventures. As we saw earlier, you can arm the latter as you wish, but also think regarding your defenses so as not to fall under the cannons of the enemy.

CGI enthusiast? Skull and Bones also offered us a trailer returning a little more to the context of the game. As a reminder, the title of Ubisoft has chosen the Indian Ocean, thus abandoning the traditional Caribbean. And yet, the first has varied biomes and a rich history to offer, as Skull and Bones proposes to prove to us.

Skull & Bones will be crossplay

The developers also took the floor to explain certain points to us. And one of them is particularly likely to interest you. Skull and Bones will be a cross-play effect. Whether you’re on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series, you’ll be able to play with a friend who owns the game on a completely different platform. For a game that wants to focus on the multiplayer experience, this is great news!

As a reminder, Skull and Bones is scheduled for November 8. And the least we can say is that this date does not facilitate the task. After a complicated development, the game will indeed launch the day before the release of another title, probably one of the most anticipated of this year, namely God of War Ragnarök. It remains to be seen whether its gameplay and post-launch content will allow it to hold its own once morest this tough competition.
