A veil of mystery still covers the death of the 57-year-old Briton, Martin Richards, in Skiathos, whose body was found on the morning of Friday, August 9, by a crew carrying out work at a hotel under complete renovation in the area of Megali Ammos.
According to information from skiathoschannel.gr, friends of Ryan Richards’ son, from the city of Derby, England, are making an online appeal to collect money in order to transport his father’s body to his native country.
The timeline of the case
In the area of Megali Ammos in Skiathos, the tragic epilogue was written for a 57-year-old citizen of the United Kingdom, who had been alone on the island since July 28.
The 57-year-old man, according to information gathered from cameras in the area by the Skiathos Police Department, made the fatal crossing at 05:00 on Friday morning, bypassing the fence and going up to the 2nd floor from where he jumped into the void.
The Police ruled out the possibility of murder, while the body of the unfortunate man was taken at 21:00 by the liner to Volos and from there to Larissa for an autopsy.
