Skhirate-Témara: more than 700 beneficiaries of a multidisciplinary medical caravan

Commune Sebbah (Skhirate-Témara Prefecture) – More than 700 women and their children from the commune of Sebbah in the prefecture of Skhirate-Témara benefited, on Saturday, from a multidisciplinary medical caravan organized on the initiative of the Association Moroccan Association of Solidarity Mothers (AMMS).

Carried out within the framework of the agreement concluded between the AMMS, on the one hand, and the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), the prefecture of Skhirate-Témara and the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection , on the other hand, this caravan aims to improve the access of women and children to specialized care.

These include early detection of breast and cervical cancer, nutritional deficiencies, anemia, diabetes, high blood pressure and treatment of infections, as well as comprehensive management of some children’s surgeries.

This caravan is the fifth of its kind organized within the framework of a voluntary medical program targeting seven rural communes of the prefecture of Skhirate-Témara, in particular women and children who have benefited from surgical interventions, indicated Naoual Reguig, representative of the Social Action Division at the prefecture.

In a statement to “M24”, MAP’s continuous news channel, Ms. Reguig pointed out that these caravans stand out for the medical “monitoring” of the beneficiaries, explaining that children and women diagnosed with chronic diseases benefit consultations and medical analyzes which can sometimes lead to specific surgical interventions.

For her part, the president of the AMMS, Hafsa Chaoui, indicated that this medical caravan is a continuation of the program started in 2021 and which targets women and children in rural areas of the Skhirate-Témara prefecture. , adding that the association is committed to ensuring certain vital specialties related to the health of women and children, in addition to monitoring cases diagnosed with chronic diseases by referring them to public and private medical centers.

This is the fifth stage of a voluntary medical program of seven caravans which criss-crossed the municipalities of Mers Elkhir, Sidi Yahya Zaër, Douar el Mkhalif, Oum Azza and El Menzah, supervised by specialized doctors, he said. she specified, noting that the association and its partners took charge of a number of surgical operations for the benefit of 27 children, including very delicate operations.

According to Ms. Chaoui, this caravan will go in the next stages to the communes of Aïn Atiq and Skhirate, with the aim of reaching as many of the target people as possible.

For their part, several women beneficiaries welcomed this type of initiative which brings medical services and care closer to the population of rural areas, who find it difficult to get to health centers in large cities.

It should be remembered that these voluntary medical caravans are part of the implementation of the 3rd phase of program 4 of the INDH relating to the impetus of the human capital of the rising generations.
