Located about two to two and a half hours from Skardu, Manthokha Falls is a popular attraction among local and international tourists, offering beautiful scenery amidst the mountains.

It is located in Manthokha village of Kharmang district, about 65 km from Skardu city.

Sajjad Hussain, manager of Mantokha Falls, says that since the flights have been restored in Skardu, tourists from the city have been coming here. About 1500 to 1800 people come every day.’

The manager said that they have prepared different types of ‘tree houses’ on the tree near the waterfall so that people can come here and enjoy the nature.

This waterfall is more than 180 feet in length and has different appearance in all four seasons. In winter, this entire waterfall freezes. It has a different appearance in autumn. Here we have provided all the facilities so that the tourists do not have to face any difficulties.’

Sajjad Hussain said that ‘There is a request, take special care of cleanliness here, we are keeping garbage everywhere. Put trash in it, don’t put it in clean water that won’t be a problem for the trout.’

Noor Sabah, a female tourist from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while talking to Independent Urdu, said, ‘We have visited about 18 other countries, but the beauty that nature has placed in the north of Pakistan is nowhere. Come here and enjoy the view of nature and take special care of cleanliness, this is your home.’
