Six-year-old boy shoots his elementary school teacher in class in the United States

A six-year-old boy shot his elementary school teacher in a classroom in the United States, critically injuring her. It was not an accidental shot, said the local police chief at a press conference on Friday (local time). The student was arrested. No other people were injured in the incident in the coastal town of Newport News, Virginia, in the eastern United States.

The teacher is according to information the police regarding a woman in her thirties. “I’m in shock,” said George Parker, the Newport News city director for schools. He called for support from the community to ensure children do not have access to guns.
