Six women arrested for robbing people by hypnotizing them: Karachi Police

Police in Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi, said on Sunday that they had arrested six women who allegedly hypnotized people into robbing them.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Dr. Uzair Ahmed said that these women had previously committed incidents in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Lahore and other cities of Punjab along with their group.

He said: ‘Two affected families have also identified these women. The victims said that The robbers hypnotized them before robbing them of their valuables.’

The arrested women have been identified as Sahiba alias Hina, Babli Maqbool, Kiniz Farid, Sahiba Fatima and Lubna Shah and 4 million rupees have been recovered from their possession.

He said that the gang would come to Karachi for business and return to their homes in Punjab after committing robberies in different parts of the city during the President’s stay in cheap hotels.

He said that the women in the group used to try to enter the houses on various pretexts.

They further said that they would often ask for jobs, offer to sew clothes or mislead innocent people by telling different stories, while their men would enter their houses and loot their belongings.

According to SSP Malir, the job of the male members in the gang was to provide logistics and transport to the women.

According to SSP Malir, the remaining members of the 25-member gang are still absconding.
