Six people were attacked and suffered injuries, some serious, at the exit of bars, in Sherbrooke, in the night from Friday to Saturday, revealed the police Monday morning.
First, around 2:30 a.m., three young men in their twenties were assaulted by a group of individuals near the Granada Theater on Wellington Street.
“In a context that remains to be determined, the three victims were assaulted by a group of individuals who fled immediately following the assault,” summarized Benoit Pellerin, spokesperson for the Sherbrooke Police Department.
These three young people suffered injuries, but only one needed to be transported to a hospital.
Barely a few minutes later, around 2:45 a.m., three other people were beaten up, this time in the parking lot of the cinema house on rue des Grandes-Fourches.
Two of these people suffered injuries qualified as serious which required their transport to the hospital, but their lives were not in danger.
The police did not say whether these two events might be linked to each other.
“Several information has been sent to the police department since the events, we are working very hard to move the file forward quickly,” assured Mr. Pellerin.
