Six people arrested at PSV Champions League match

Six people were arrested on Tuesday in Eindhoven around PSV’s Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon. The police reported this on Wednesday morning.

The police are not commenting on what exactly the people were arrested for and when. “But their behavior is in line with issues such as disorder and insult,” says a spokesperson. “The situation in those cases called for arrests.”

Furthermore, the police look back on a ‘calm and safe football event’.

PSV drew against Sporting Clube de Portugal (1-1) in the second match of the Champions League. Jerdy Schouten had put the home team at 1-0, after which PSV missed many opportunities.

This cost the Eindhoven formation dearly, because the Portuguese came alongside a few minutes before the end.
