Six people are linked to trial for taking over the USAC facilities

In the first statement hearing, Judge Víctor Cruz decided to tie the criminal proceedings once morest six of the eight accused of the second group within the case called “Usac Takes Political Loot.”
Miguel Vásquez, Juan José García, Kevin Carrera, Paulo Roulet, Andrea Nicole Prera and Amílcar Enrique Bremer were linked to criminal proceedings for crimes of depredation of cultural property and aggravated usurpationboth crimes continuously.
Amílcar Bremer is the brother of Judge Jimi Bremer, who shares the judgeship with Judge Víctor Cruz in the Tenth Criminal Court.
The judge also decided to rule that there was no merit in favor of Cindy Gabriela Dávila, sister of former deputy Aldo Dávila; and Hada Marieta Alvarado Beteta, because she considered that the Public Ministry (MP) did not adequately support the accusation once morest both accused.

At the time of issuing his resolution, the judge also indicated that, as part of the process, some resources might still be filed that might reverse his ruling.
Within the judicial file of the case of the seizure of the facilities of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala (Usac), there are 14 people who are indicted, 12 those linked to criminal proceedings and 2 with lack of merit.
Currently, there are thirteen people declared fugitives from justice.
