In the past few weeks, six e-charging stations with 12 charging points have been set up in Weitersfelden. Thanks to funding from the federal and state governments (“Upper Austria loads”), this project was implemented and financed following preparation by the head of office and deputy mayor Klaus Preining on the basis of unanimous resolutions in the local council. The charging stations come from the company KEBA and were installed by Elektro Stellnberger and the construction yard employees. A charging cable must be carried in the car to charge. Payment can be made at the stations using an app or credit card. The current charging price is 38 cents per kilowatt hour.
The new charging station locations are on the market square, at the municipal office, at the playground/cemetery parking lot, at the elementary school, at the outdoor pool and in the sports center. “With this e-charging infrastructure, Weitersfelden is prepared for the expected enormous increase in e-mobility,” says Mayor Franz Xaver Hölzl.
