While it’s true that these panels are characterized by a different subpixel distribution compared to LCD counterparts, which can sometimes lead to slightly less sharp text and occasional color fringing at contrasting edges, my brain seamlessly adjusted. After a short while, the perceived issue simply faded into the background.
The construction of an OLED monitor itself is a marvel of simplicity compared to its LCD cousins.
OLED doesn’t require a separate backlight; each pixel lights up directly, resulting in an incredibly thin profile, particularly outside of the central electronics housing.
That same minimalist design philosophy extends to the surface treatment.
