The Qena Misdemeanor Court issued a ruling punishing a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with 6 months in prison and a fine of 50 pounds, for killing 60 test mice in retaliation for his female colleague.
The security services had received a report from “Hajar.M” once morest a demonstrator at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at South Valley University accusing him of placing a poisonous substance on 60 lab rats, reasoning that he wanted to spoil their research experiments.
The investigations concluded that the complainant’s decision once morest the teaching assistant was correct by placing a toxic substance in the water and killing experimental mice with the intent of taking revenge on his colleague and destroying the research material.
