Minuto30.com .- In the last few hours, six Colombian citizens who are requested by the Judicial authorities of Chile, Argentina and Spain were captured by red notice for extradition purposes in the cities of Bogotá, Medellín and Cali.

They are wanted for the crimes of homicide, sexual assault, robbery with violence and intimidation, illegal detention, serious injuries and forgery.

Six Colombians are required by international justice to answer for different crimes

In the city of Bogotá, 4 of the most wanted fugitives by the Spanish, Chilean and Argentine authorities were captured, the following people being treated:

“Blas de Jesús Rivera Contreras”, wanted by the Guarantee Court of La Serena in Chile, for the crime of homicide and is accused of being part of a confrontation that began on April 25, along with other individuals. 2024 on a public road in the coastal city of La Serena, there after a verbal altercation that escalated to physical violence, “Rivera Contreras” and his companions attacked the victims with knives they carried in their backpacks, inflicting multiple stab wounds, leaving one of the victims with serious injuries to the chest, legs and arms, which led to his death after a surgical intervention at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in this city.

The capture occurred after investigators carried out several judicial police actions, locating him in the Villa Mayor neighborhood of the city of Bogotá, where OCN INTERPOL Bogotá officials notified him of his capture.

“José Manuel Roncancio Peña” is wanted by the 59th National Criminal and Correctional Court of Argentina, for the crimes of simple homicide and serious injuries,
He is believed to have participated, along with another person, in an attack with a knife on several people at a birthday celebration in the city of Buenos Aires, where several of the attendees were injured and one of them later died. After the fateful event, he fled the Argentine capital without knowing his whereabouts.

“Jorge Andrés Varela”, wanted by the Investigative Court of Madrid Spain, for the crime of homicide. This person is accused that on October 8, 2022, in the middle of a strong argument, he injured an individual with a knife at chest level, causing his death at the scene.

“David Alejandro Cairasco Calderón”, is requested by the Third Section of the Provincial Court of Barcelona in Spain, for the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, illegal detention, injuries and forgery, “David” is required for apparently belonging to a criminal organization dedicated to theft of residences on a large scale in Spain, there the authorities of that country managed to establish that by October 2013, together with another person, they entered a residence by deception and later tied up the victims, beating them and threatening them with objects sharps, forcing them to open the safe where they stole 1,500 euros in cash, 1,500 euros in jewelry, and 480 euros in other objects. Likewise, during the investigation they managed to establish that the members of this organization moved in Spanish territory with false documentation (passports).

Meanwhile, in the city of Medellín, “Diego Andrés Mejía León” was captured, required to appear before the Court of Instruction number 34 of Madrid, Spain, for the crime of homicide, who is accused of the murder of a subject of Spanish nationality, through multiple stab wounds, causing him to be admitted to the hospital intensive care unit, who died days later due to the severity of the wounds, also causing serious injuries to a family member of the victim, at the time of the victim intervening to help him. .

Finally, in the city of Cali, the Colombian citizen “Dagoberto Buitrago” was detained for extradition purposes, requested by the Court of Instruction Number 4 of Zaragoza Spain, for the crime of sexual assault and he is accused of abusing years 2017 to 2019 of a girl under 6 years old, taking advantage of the fact that she was occasionally left in the care of his wife, who was the girl’s godmother, this affected the mental health of the victim, leading her to have anxiety and depression crises his young age.

All those captured were left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office through the Directorate of International Affairs, waiting for them to be extradited to the requesting countries.
