Six people were killed in Mali, including two gendarmes and a policeman in an attack on the Zantiguila security post located 50 km from the Malian capital Bamako in the region of Dioïla on the road to Ségou (RN6) overnight. from July 14 to 15, announced Friday evening, the Malian Minister of Security and Civil Protection, Brigadier General Daoud Aly Mohammedine.

The attack left six dead, including three civilians in addition to the three members of the security forces, and two wounded, according to the same source.

“The objective of our visit was to understand what really happened, see the damage, learn lessons, give advice and once once more remind you of the instructions in terms of security, especially when you find yourself in a security post. in an isolated area,” said the Minister of Security and Civil Protection during his visit to the scene of the attack.

Daoud Aly Mohammedine also offered the condolences of the Head of State to the families of the six people who died in the line of duty and wished at the same time a speedy recovery to the two injured.

The Minister reassures that “arrangements will be made immediately. Our enemy makes no distinction between corporations. We ask all the agents of the defense and security forces as well as the paramilitaries wherever they are, to be very vigilant and not to lower their guard”.

It should be noted that a policeman was killed and another injured in an attack on the Fana police station in the Dioïla region, on the night of June 23 to 24.
