Situations in India are similar to Sri Lanka, diverting people’s attention will not change the facts; Congress

New Delhi: Congress leader Udit Raj said that the situation in the country is similar to Sri Lanka. Protests have been strong in Sri Lanka for a long time following the financial crisis. Last day, protesters came out demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapakse.

After this, the Congress leader has come out comparing India with Sri Lanka.

His response was through Twitter. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also compared India with Sri Lanka. Rahul’s response was by sharing graphs of issues like unemployment, fuel prices and communal riots in both the countries.

“Diverting people’s attention does not change the facts. India is seen as Sri Lanka,’ said Rahul Gandhi.

Many people in Sri Lanka have come out to protest in view of the economic crisis in the country. Protesters also set fire to Renil Wickramasinghe’s private residence following he resigned as Prime Minister.

Renil resigned as Prime Minister to form an all-party government.

Renil Wickramasinghe has stated that for the betterment of all the citizens of the country, an all-party government should come to power and for this he is resigning from the post of Prime Minister. His response was through Twitter.

Protesters stormed the President’s official residence demanding the resignation of the President. The agitators entered Rajapaksa’s rooms and smashed things.

The picture of protesters swimming in the swimming pool of the official residence was also widely circulated on social media.

There are reports that the President will resign on July 13.
