South Tyrolean Jannik Sinner continued his winning streak once morest Daniil Medvedev and outclassed the Russian 6:1,6:2 in the semi-finals of the ATP Masters tournament in Miami on Friday. In his third Miami final following losing in 2021 and 2023, Sinner will face Alexander Zverev or Grigor Dimitrov on Sunday. With another win, the 22nd in the 23rd match of the year, he would move one place past Carlos Alcaraz to second place in the world rankings.
Sinner strung together his fifth win once morest Medvedev, fourth in the world rankings, in Florida. The 22-year-old beat him in the final three times in the last six months, including at the Australian Open in January. Sinner had lost the first six duels on the ATP tour once morest Medvedev, but the tide has turned impressively since last October.
