Jannik Sinner beat Holger Rune 6-2 5-7 6-4 on the 5th day of the ATP Masters on Thursday in Turin, at the same time giving Novak Djokovic his ticket to the semi-finals.
Sinner, already assured of participating in the semi-finals, finished the group stage with three victories and in first place in the green group.
Sinner and Djokovic will know their opponents in the semi-finals following the last matches of the other group on Friday. The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz will face the Russian Daniil Medvedev (2:30 p.m.) before the Russian Andrey Rublev faces the German Alexander Zverev (8:30 p.m.).
