Al-Marsad newspaper: Social media activists circulated a video clip of a party and a skirt inside the Sultan Abu Al-Ela Mosque in Cairo, on the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.
The video shows a concert with tambourines and Mawlawi dancing, inside the Sultan Abu Al-Ela Mosque, where the vocalist sang songs in praise of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the audience gathered around him, applauding and swaying to the tunes of the ceremony, and many of them took pictures and videos of the ceremony, which was held For the first time to the mosque.
A number of social media activists denounced the holding of a concert and dancing “Mawlawiya” inside the Sultan Abu Al-Ela Mosque, and in the place where the worshipers perform their prayers, especially since the ceremony was held next to the pulpit, and they also deplored dancing to the tunes of the ceremony.
