Hello, dear readers. Buckle up, because we have a story that’s about as pleasant as finding a hair in your soup—one you hope isn’t the chef’s! Slimane, the once-harmonious voice of France, has hit a remarkably dissonant note offstage. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, our charming singer is now tangled in a web of allegations that would make even the most seasoned tabloid journalist blush.
So, what’s the scoop? According to reports, a former technician who apparently had more than his fair share of Sleiman’s “Up-Tempo Sex” vibes filed a complaint regarding some rather appalling behavior during a December concert in Saint-Étienne. It seems that after rocking the Zénith in December 2023 (oh, isn’t that the perfect spot for a festive sing-along!), Slimane decided to venture into the murky waters of inappropriate interactions. That’s right—what should have been a night of music has turned into a tale fit for the dark recesses of a crime drama!
The technician, who I suspect might need a new line of work, alleges that Slimane cornered him like a misplaced microphone against a wall and made advances that could only be described as “not quite the encore we were expecting.” After a light rejection, the technician claims his phone blew up with a barrage of unsolicited, steamy messages from Slimane. Talk about a post-concert “thank you” note gone wrong!
Now, let’s pause for a moment and reflect—was it really necessary for Slimane to engage in this kind of “meet and greet”? The technician smartly brought this to the attention of their employer, who promptly decided it was best to keep their technicians away from Slimane’s escapades. Can’t blame them, can you? When the behind-the-scenes work becomes more scandalous than the performance itself, it’s time to rethink your life choices.
As the public prosecutor of Saint-Étienne gears up to potentially delve into the sordid details, it’s a reminder that the truth shall out. “I’m waiting for the evidence,” David Charmatz said, no doubt regretting that this is now part of his job description. Whether Slimane will hit a high note in his defense remains to be seen, but it certainly feels like the crescendo of curiosity is building.
Here’s a fun fact about Slimane—he’s not just the guy who makes you tap your feet and sway; he also won The Voice in 2016 and represented France in Eurovision in 2024, finishing with a commendable fourth place. But now? Well, it seems he might be singing a different tune in a courtroom rather than on stage!
This complaint was filed Monday by one of his former technicians. The facts denounced date from December 2023, during a concert in Saint-Étienne.

A complaint was filed Monday with the Saint-Etienne (Loire) public prosecutor’s office for sexual harassment against singer Slimane, franceinfo learned on Tuesday October 29 from consistent sources, confirming information of Parisian. The facts denounced date from December 2023, when Slimane performed in concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne.
According to a source close to the matter, this complaint was filed by one of the artist’s former technicians. The technician denounces facts which allegedly took place on December 17, 2023, after the concert, then on the night of December 17 to 18.
The technician accuses the singer in particular of having pinned him against a wall, then of having asked him for sexual intercourse. After refusing, the technician said he received several dozen messages of a sexual nature during the night from Slimane. The technician then notified the company that employed him, which decided to withdraw its technicians from the singer’s tour.
Contacted Tuesday afternoon by franceinfo, the public prosecutor of Saint-Étienne, David Charmatz, indicates that the victim’s lawyer plans to provide him with “evidence”. “I am therefore waiting for these elements to then launch an investigation to at least hear the victim and the accused”he said.
Singer Slimane, 35, won the fifth edition of The Voice in 2016. Last May, he represented France in the Eurovision song contest, finishing in fourth place.
