B Smith’s brother announces the news of his death
Through a video clip posted on the “Be Smith” Instagram page, “Denzel”, the artist’s brother, confirmed the tragic news to all his followers, which shocked them all. “Today, unfortunately, I announce the death of my brother due to respiratory failure following a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis,” the video reads.
Denzel wrote in a comment on the post: “On behalf of my brother and my family, we want to thank you all for all of your love and support over the years. We also want to say thank you for all of your prayers. I love you brother!”
In the video, Denzel points out that his brother has often talked regarding how much he loves his fans and was watching the dance challenges to his latest single Twerkaholic – Part 2 – three weeks ago while he was in the ICU at the hospital. He said, “All the new videos on TikTok and Instagram, made him really happy. All the love and support that you were sending on social media really felt and touched him.”
“Denzel” explained that his late brother asked him before his death to make this video to let his fans know that he appreciates all the things they have done for him. He added that it is his fans who inspire him in his new projects with music or fashion.
Denzel said the family is asking for privacy at this time. However, he said the family will update fans regarding the funeral services and consider live-streaming his funeral to fans outside of Florida.
B Smith starts his YouTube career
Bea Smith gained fame on YouTube performing songs like Rihanna’s “Stay” and Miguel’s “Quickie”. He eventually signed with Motown Records in 2012 and released his first single, “Leggo,” with rapper Chainz 2. He then went on to release a record, The Florida Files, in 2013 with the lead single “Win Win” with American rapper Future.
Smith achieved commercial success with his 2014 song Twerkaholic, which has 17 million views on YouTube. After another string of solo releases, he released a studio album called Thr3 in 2017.
Last year, he released “It’s Yours For the Summer” and a follow-up to his hit Twerkaholic, “Twerkaholic – Part Two.”
