Singapore: In Singapore Open Super 500 Series Badminton Women’s Singles, India’s title hope P.V. Sindhu in the final. In the semi-finals, Sindhu defeated Saina Kawakami of Japan in half an hour. Score: 21-15, 21-7.

Beyond a win, what awaits Sindhu is her maiden Super 500 title in 2022. In the match, Sindhu won easily by dominating the world number 38 Kawakami. This was Sindhu’s best performance since reaching the Thailand Open semis in May. The effort will be to win the title and return it to the Commonwealth Games.

Sindhu defeated China’s Han Yu in the quarterfinals. Olympic bronze medalist Saina Nehwal and Malayalam player HS Prannoy were eliminated in the quarter finals.
