A concert organized by the Retina France association in partnership with Sacem. Volunteer choirs who will put their voices to the benefit of research. First, there will be the vocal ensemble Mel-I Melo-O, with Jean Labelle as choir director. The choir L’air du temps from the CRSA (Club of retired sportsmen from Auscita) will also be there, with Jeannine Broseta as choir director, accompanied on the piano by Christope Bouhier.
This national operation is part of the fight once morest AMD (age-related macular degeneration). A concert that brings together between 50 and 300 people each year according to Ghislaine Garric, correspondent and administrator Retina France Gers. “With this concert, we want to make people aware of this little-known eye disease, AMD, with its so-called dry atrophic form and its so-called wet exudative form”, indicates Ghislaine Garric.
The vocal ensemble La cour des filles, also directed by Jean Labelle, will sing in this church. For this 2023 edition, Ruben Velasquez, Spanish tenor, will be the sponsor. Admission will be free with a donation of eight euros recommended for the benefit of medical research in ophthalmology. Donations and memberships to Retina France are made by check to the association which will issue a tax receipt next.

The association has existed since 1984 and acts to raise people’s awareness of sight problems and also offers various charity events where funds are donated to medical research. Thanks to these different actions, the association makes itself known and raises money to help those in need.

On June 16, the Retina France association is organizing a screening at the town hall of L’Isle-Jourdain with Dr. Sennlaub, researcher at Inserm.
