Asunción, IP Agency.- Since its creation in August 2023, the National Tax Revenue Directorate, an entity that merges the collection of internal and customs taxes, has managed to improve collection, reaching an increase of 804 million dollars. This was reported by the national director of Tax Revenue, Oscar Orué.
The director indicated that the goal for the end of this year is to achieve a 900 million dollar increase in collections, compared to what was received in previous periods.
To achieve this goal, the DNIT must maintain the increase at around 20% monthly, compared to collections from previous years.
So far this year, the total collection accumulated from January to September registered a growth of 20.8%, which represents a total amount of ₲. 5,047,662 million more than in the same period of 2023.
Estimates indicate that for December there will be a lot of commercial movement and therefore an increase in tax and customs revenues, indicated the director of the DNIT.
Additionally, the DNIT plans to strengthen controls against evasion and smuggling by the end of the year, Orué announced.
