During the last hours of Sunday the 5th and the early hours of this Monday, May 6, Zacatecas experienced moments of anguish due to one of the most dangerous criminal gangs in Mexico: the Sinaloa Cartel.
Hitmen of this criminal organization, previously led by Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, They blocked multiple roads in this state and set fire to some vehicles that were on public roads.
According to the Zacatecas Prosecutor’s Office, the events began when “4 vehicles were set on fire on Federal Highway 49, Zacatecas – San Luis Potosí section.”
In addition, the agency also reported that, in addition to the blockades, They found two bodies on the territorial limit of the state and their deaths were attributed to hitmen from the Sinaloa Cartel.
Due to these acts of violence, The Zacatecas authorities arrested six people, all of them allegedly related to the Sinaloa Cartel, among whom is a 20-year-old man identified as Jesús “N” and a minor from Durango.

Likewise, local police arrested two men, identified as Juan “N” and Felipe “N”, who were also related to the murder of the Director of the Municipal Police of Fresnillo last year.
