Sinafocal trained almost 7,000 people and certified 278 empirical workers in one year of management

Asuncion, IP Agency.- In one year of management, the National System of Training and Vocational Education (Sinafocal) conducted 245 courses in different modalities with 6,752 graduates, of which 2,370 are men and 4,382 women. 73.4% of the students are under 40 years old.

Among the milestones marked in this period, some 248 workers from the construction, tourism and transport sectors received their certificates of competence and some 100 people are part of the first class of the course on “Teaching in Technical Vocational Education and Training”.

Likewise, 46 professional profiles have been launched onto the job market, worked on in Sectoral Roundtables and validated by representatives of the national productive sector. Each of the professional profiles has its respective training modules that were worked on by technicians from the Sinafocal Advanced Methodology Innovation Center.

According to the report, the Registry of Training and Vocational Training Institutions (Reifocal) has also been strengthened as a fundamental step in the training and professionalization process of Technical Education and Training Teachers.

“A coordinated line of work has been established to provide accreditation to Training Institutions for more than 800 Vocational Training instructors, who now have systematized data online,” the institution highlights.

Technical Secretary Alfredo Mongelós highlighted the importance of the officialization of the Governing Body of Sinafocal, which after 8 years the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, established and made official through a decree.

“It becomes a great tool for generating consensus and teamwork, since it includes actors from the private sector, represented by the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP), the Rural Association of Paraguay (ARP), Feprinco and representatives of the labor unions,” he said.

Regarding Dual Training, Mongelós indicated that the process of updating and installing it is a challenge that this administration has taken seriously. “This methodology will help break paradigms and generate job insertion opportunities for thousands of young people in Paraguay using theory and practice to acquire knowledge; reducing costs and generating confidence in the business sector as a key player,” he said.

The Technical Secretary finally highlighted the importance of the support of the ILO and ILO Cintefor to carry out a restructuring process that involves the unification of criteria and the creation of a regulatory framework that represents legal certainty with areas of competence.
