Thus, more than 144,000 tonnes of fish were landed in 2022 once morest 123,000 the previous year, for a record total value of 907.973 million dirhams, once morest 793.922 million dirhams in 2021.
According to data from the delegation of the National Fisheries Office of Tan-Tan, this is an increase of 14% in value and 17% in volume.
These data indicate that the quantities landed in the CAPI Tan-Tan sales area increased by 48% in value, i.e. 303.6 million dirhams once morest 205.55 million dirhams in 2021, and 25% in volume, i.e. 122,759 tons once morest 98,000 tons in 2021.
As for the value of the quantities landed in the Tan-Tan hall, it amounted to around 604.966 million dirhams, up 3% compared to the year 2021, while the volume of landings showed a drop. by 13%.
The types of fishing were divided between traditional fishing (1,539 tons), coastal fishing (16,952 tons) and sardine fishing (122,745 tons).
With regard to unloadings by destination, the quantities of fish intended for consumption amounted to 35,779 tonnes, an increase of 22% compared to the year 2021, for a value of 643,624 million dirhams.
Regarding the quantity of frozen fish, it amounted to 2,214 tonnes in volume in 2022, for a value of 6.286 million dirhams.
The active coastal and traditional fishing fleet at the port of Tan-Tan was around 665 units in 2022, i.e. 264 boats, 227 longliners, 64 trawlers and 110 sardine boats.
