Bengaluru: Bangalore Royal Challengers released the list of retained players ahead of the IPL star auction. The team has retained all the key players from last season. RCB is coming to the auction with an eye on the best players without loosening up the squad that has reached the playoffs. RCB has dropped only five players. In it, Jason Behrendorff was traded to Mumbai. Sherfan Rutherford was the only prominent one left out. RCB can spend 8.75 crores in the auction. It is also possible to bring two foreign players to the team.

RCB’s plans ahead of the auction are simple, keep the main squad together and bring in some of the best players as backup. RCB is an experienced team. Five players have been excluded without any damage.
Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz are not under too much pressure in the top order and the team is full of firepower. Considering the brilliant performance of New Zealand’s Finn Allen in the recent past, it is estimated that RCB will be stronger this time.
