ANTWERP, Belgium (AP) — Simone Biles’ appetite for victories is insatiable.

The American star won her third and immediately fourth gold medal at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup on Sunday by winning the balance beam and floor finals in overwhelming fashion on the last day of the competition.

Biles opened the afternoon in Antwerp with a superb routine on the balance beam, exuding confidence from start to finish. He did not hesitate in his jumps and executed somersaults before coming down with class, if anything with a small jump when landing.

She received a score of 14.800 to beat China’s Zhou Yaqin by just 0.1. Brazilian Rebeca Andrade took the bronze medal.

Biles then returned for her last test of an intense week, the floor final. He had achieved the highest score in the classification and excelled again by wowing the audience with his spectacular spins and elevated jumps.

Although she went off the mat when averaging a routine with a high degree of difficulty, Biles obtained the best score: 14.633. It was the sixth world title for Biles on floor, an event in which he remains invincible.

Andrade, another sports star, won the silver medal ahead of her Brazilian compatriot Flavia Saraiva.

In Antwerp, where she began her collection of 23 world titles a decade ago as a 16-year-old teenager, Biles made an imperial return to the international stage.

She also won a silver medal in the vault after winning her sixth title in the all-around competition to become the most successful gymnast in history, male or female. Additionally, she led the United States team to a seventh consecutive victory in the team event.

Biles has a record total of 37 medals in the World Cups and Olympic Games.
