A few days following the announcement of the departure of Rhuigi Villaseñor, the luxury label formalizes the arrival of Simone Bellotti at the head of its collections.
Simone Bellotti, Bally’s new design director
The transition will be made in an express way. Seven months following his arrival in the design studio of Bally following 16 years at Gucci, Simone Bellotti became its design director. This internal appointment follows the surprise departure of designer Rhuigi Villaseñor, just over a year following taking up the post.
Past, among others, at Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta or Gianfranco Ferré, Simone Bellotti will have the mission to “continue to interpret and rejuvenate our signature codes in the context of today”, indicates in a press release Nicolas Girotto, CEO of the brand, while insisting on the values of craftsmanship, innovation and embodiment of “Swiss luxury”.
“It is a great honor to be appointed as Bally’s Design Director and to be entrusted with this contribution to the extraordinary Bally heritage,” shares Simone Bellotti. “The House’s unique Swiss heritage, combined with its pioneering spirit and pursuit of excellence, is a powerful source of inspiration.”
Simone Bellotti will present her inaugural collection for Bally next September during Milan Fashion Week.
