Silver Medal for Top Police Athlete | Federal Ministry of the Interior, February 19, 2023

At the Snowboard World Championships on February 19, 2023 in Georgia, top police athlete Daniela Ulbing won the first silver medal in the parallel giant slalom.

Vienna (OTS) On February 19, 2023, the world championships in the disciplines of freestyle, freeski and snowboard started in Bakuriani, Georgia. Top police athlete Daniela Ulbing won Austria’s first medal with her second place in the parallel giant slalom. “Daniela Ulbing got the first medal for Austria with her great performance. I am very proud of the achievements of our top police athletes and wish them all the best for the challenges ahead,” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner. First place went to Tsubaki Miki from Japan, with Poland’s Aleksandra Krol taking bronze.

Daniela Ulbing has been part of the top sports squad of the Federal Ministry of the Interior since 2017. Her greatest achievements include winning the parallel slalom at the 2017 World Championships in Sierra Nevada and second place in the parallel giant slalom at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
