AMS boss Kern, who is obviously overwhelmed, must immediately reverse the decision or resign
St. Pölten (OTS) – The AMS Lower Austria announced that the successful Eibetex project in Waidhofen an der Thaya will be closed at the end of March. Member of the National Council Rudolf Silvan and Andreas Hitz, chairman of the Social Democratic Trade Unionists (FSG) faction in the Waidhofen district, are stunned: “This decision is, to say the least, extremely short-sighted and clearly shows that black and blue have now also arrived in the AMS Lower Austria!” Um To find out how this decision came regarding, Silvan will submit a parliamentary question to the Minister of Labor Mag. Dr. Martin Kocher, state parliament member Franz Schnabl will submit a request to the responsible FPÖ state councilor Mag. Barbara Rosenkranz.
47 people, including the long-term unemployed and disabled people as well as people with multiple disabilities, are currently receiving support in entering and re-entering the labor market at the facility in Waidhofen an der Thaya. The employees were able to gain a foothold in professional life in services such as garden care, ironing services, maintenance work, woodwork, upcycling or in a second-hand shop. At the end of March, these people will be deprived of any chance, Silvan and Hitz agree.
While SPÖ NÖ boss Sven Hergovich initiated groundbreaking projects such as the Marienthal employment project or the climate training center in Siegmundsherberg and promoted and expanded projects like the one in Waidhofen during his time as head of the AMS Lower Austria, the current AMS NÖ boss and former ÖVP Federal Councilor Sandra Kern is now setting the pace obviously the wishes of the black-blue coalition in the AMS Lower Austria. Silvan and Hitz agree: “The closure of Eibetex is a disgrace for Lower Austria and a serious blow for the Waidhofen an der Thaya district. We demand that this decision be reversed immediately, otherwise Sandra Kern, who is obviously overwhelmed, will be ready to resign!”
