Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Blocking numbers can be the only option for unknown and annoying numbers. So it will stop these cellphone numbers from calling us again.

Every cell phone has a setting to block annoying numbers. However, you can also use a third-party application called GetContact to block numbers.

This application is known for finding out information or identifying unknown numbers. We just have to enter the cellphone number in it and the contact name information that other people have saved on that number will come out.

GetContact also has a feature to block foreign numbers. You can install it both on the Play Store and App Store.

1. Install the application on your cellphone

2. Once finished, enter the application

3. Click into the Settings menu

4. Select the Spam Settings option

5. Choose to get a warning that the phone number calling is spam or block all spam calls

Apart from GetContact, you can also block directly via the settings on your cellphone. This option is available for Android and iPhone cellphone users.

HP Android

1. Open the Phone application

2. Select Recents tab

3. Look for foreign or annoying numbers that you want to block

4. Press and hold the cellphone number

5. Click the Block/report Spam option

iPhone

1. Open the Phone menu

2. Click the Recent calls menu

3. Search for the number you want to block

4. Click the round icon with the letter ‘i’ next to the unknown number

5. Press the Block this Caller option

6. The cellphone number can no longer contact you
