Hormonal changes may affect the body clearly, especially in women, causing some physical signs to appear, and therefore it is preferable to deal with them as soon as they appear to avoid any health complications.
In the following report, “Consulto” reviews the most prominent signs that reveal a hormonal imbalance, according to the “WebMD” website.
Signs of hormonal changes in the body
1- Weight gain
Hormonal disorders can cause significant weight gain, and this often occurs as a result of exposure to some health reasons such as aging and menopause, so continuous follow-up with the doctor is necessary to control the levels of hormones, especially estrogen and leptin.

2- Irregular menstruation
The menstrual cycle usually occurs every 21 to 35 days, and therefore any change in this period confirms the presence of a problem in the body’s hormones, whether abnormally increased or decreased, and in the case of this disorder at an early age, it may indicate PCOS, Therefore, it is better to consult a doctor.

3- Not being able to sleep
Some women may suffer from the inability to sleep normally, as this indicates the disruption of hormonal levels in the body in particular and the low levels of estrogen in the body, which results in some accompanying symptoms such as night sweats, hot flashes and restlessness.

4- Dry skin
The shift in hormones can lead to dry skin, and it usually occurs during menopause, where the skin begins to naturally thin and not be able to retain moisture, and this is not required to happen only because of female hormones, but thyroid disorders cause the appearance of Some annoying symptoms.

5- mood swings
Many doctors believe that low hormones or rapid changes in their levels cause mood swings and depression, as estrogen affects key brain chemicals such as serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine, which requires constant follow-up with a specialist.

6- hair loss
When the hormones in the body, including estrogen, decrease, this affects the body in general, and causes weak hair and hair loss, and this is usually observed during pregnancy, menopause or following starting to take birth control pills.
