Signing of a framework partnership agreement in the field of maritime fishing

A framework partnership agreement was signed between the National Federation of Industries for the Processing and Valorization of Fishery Products (FENIP) and the Mauritanian Fisheries Federation (FNP), on the sidelines of the Joint Investment Forum between Mauritania and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), opened Wednesday in Nouakchott

This agreement aims to establish a long-term partnership between the two professional groups, focusing on the development of skills and human resources and cooperation in scientific research.

The director of FENIP, Lamia Znagui, stressed that this framework agreement aims to promote the exchange of experiences and strengthen joint action in certain aspects, including information, scientific research and the organization of meetings. to develop the partnership between the economic players who are members of the two organisations.

It is also a question of addressing, in consultation, issues relating to the sustainability of fisheries resources, she added, noting that during this forum, working meetings will be organized in order to to draw up an action plan to implement this convention.

FENIP’s participation in the Investment Forum, she continued, constitutes a step towards new partnerships, in application of the High Royal Instructions, with regard to the crucial role of professional organizations in strengthening partnerships, in particular with African countries.

The Mauritania-OIC Investment Forum aims to highlight investment opportunities in Mauritania and strengthen economic relations between Mauritania and the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
