A framework partnership agreement was signed on August 12, 2022, in Rabat, for the financing, development and enhancement of the Ain Bida industrial zone, located in Fez.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Industry and Trade, the Wali of the Fès-Meknes Region, the President of the Fès-Meknes Region, the Director of the Domains of the State, the President of the Municipality of AIN BIDA, the Director General of the Regional Center for Investment Fès-Meknes, the President of the CGEM Fès-Meknes, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Fez-Meknes and the Director of the Regional Project Execution Agency of Fez-Meknes.
The project consists of servicing the industrial zone of Ain Bida, in particular through the development of access roads to the zone, the construction of road networks and various networks.
Agreeing on a gross area of 80 hectares, this industrial zone will mobilize an overall investment of 200 million dirhams, jointly supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (50%) and the region of Fez-Meknes ( 50%).
The site will include a general industrial area, a wholesale trade area, an economic activity area, an area intended for the relocation of oil mills as part of the Oued Sebou depollution program and an area for the transfer of gas storage.
“The construction of this industrial zone will contribute to further boosting the industrial fabric of the region and improving its attractiveness to investors. said Mr. Mezzour on the occasion.
This project will strengthen the supply of industrial land in the Fez-Meknes Region to best meet the needs of investors. It will also contribute to the region’s increased competitiveness and the creation of new jobs.
