After the signing of the framework contract of the Ministry of Development with the Hellenic Post Office (ELTA), the State saves up to 40,000,000 euros.

The agreement between the Ministry of Development and ELTA, in the amount of 82,000,000 euros – including options – is intended to cover the needs of the State services in postal services.

ELTA was selected as the contractor for the contract following an open international tender under the provisions of Law 4412/2016.

The Minister of Development Kostas Skrekas made the following statement: “At the Ministry of Development we are proceeding with the centralization of public contracts and procurement which ensures transparency, flexibility and accountability, but also saves resources for the Greek taxpayer. The goal of our government is the continuous and stable improvement of the services provided to all citizens, so that they meet their increased needs and the demands of our time”.

The CEO of ELTA, Grigoris Sklikas, said: “The continuation of the important work of postal services of the State was a bet for ELTA. We responded to the lower cost requirements by relying on the evolving transformation and more efficient organization of ELTA.”
