The Korea Shipping Association (Chairman: Jeong Tae-soon) and the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association signed an MOU on the 29th with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and Vice Ministers of Trade, Industry and Energy attending.
Recently, the domestic automobile industry is experiencing difficulties such as a shortage of car carriers and an increase in logistics costs due to the increase in automobile exports due to endemic. As the shortage of fleets intensifies, it is not possible to find transport ships in a timely manner, resulting in considerable difficulties in exporting.
In response, the two organizations took this MOU as an opportunity to make efforts to provide loading space to the finished vehicle industry, and the finished vehicle industry to provide stable export volumes to the shipping industry. We decided to share and hold a half-yearly win-win council.
