Method and description of the MOOC “Recovering, a real delirium!” »
The realization of this MOOC is aligned with the current recommendations in terms of training in the field of mental health, namely to involve all the parties concerned at the different stages of the training programs and this, from their design to their implementation, in order to ensure their consistency, their monitoring and the long-term implementation of new practices. This course is the result of a partnership between caregivers, teacher-researchers, peer mental health practitioners and relatives. Its production has been entrusted to the specialized e-learning center of the HES-SO, Cyberlearn.
The preliminary stage in its design was to bring these people together in order to identify gaps and needs in terms of knowledge on mental health recovery. Techniques such as photolanguage, automatic writing or the focus group have allowed the emergence of central concepts and themes to be addressed: recovery in mental health, the beliefs conveyed on this subject and stigmatization. Also wishing to offer levers to change the representations of MOOC participants, it quickly became obvious that contributions on empowerment and partnership would be essential. These themes had to be tackled in themselves and for themselves, but also articulated in a certain logic. The frame of the MOOC was born.
The duration of this MOOC has been set at three hours per week:
– Week 0: Why a MOOC on recovery?
– Week 1: Between myths and realities
– Week 2: Did you say recovery?
– Week 3: Between prejudice and stigma, so many obstacles
– Week 4: The crisis on the cake: empowerment and partnership
– Week 5: Getting back a real pleasure?
