Sifu will have a new game mode and announces its release window on Steam and Xbox

One of the best independent games that the year left us was Sifu, the production of the French studio Sloclap that presented us with the fantasy of becoming a martial arts expert to overcome all kinds of challenges with the power of king-fu. After it was recently confirmed that the game will soon be coming to Nintendo Switch, today it was announced that it is also preparing its premiere on Xbox and Steam consoles.

The news of the new platforms that Sloclap’s indie game will be available on comes along with the announcement of Arenas, a new game mode that will allow experts to test their skills in a series of additional arena challenges. From the study the new game mode is described as follows:

“Successfully completing Arenas will progressively unlock a massive new batch of mods, which double the amount of those in the current game and, in particular, bring alternate moves to our main character’s Kung Fu paddle. Completing Arena challenges will also unlock new tricks and new exclusive outfits”.

When will Sifu be coming to Xbox and Steam?

Although a specific release date has not been offered, it is expected that the new update that includes the Arena mode will be available with a free update coming in March 2023.

The release of this update will coincide with the release of the game on all market platforms.
