Burton, who had already set a school record the previous week at the Nittany Lion challenge, crossed the finish line with a remarkable time of 37.67 seconds.

Malik Ricketts led the men’s 300-meter race to a Pittsburgh victory, clocking in at a blistering personal best time of 33.46 seconds. Teammate Devin Nugent followed closely behind,securing second place with a strong performance of 33.65 seconds. Isaac Kane further cemented Pitt’s dominance in the event, placing fifth with a personal best of 34.38 seconds.

Norrah Lemongo and Niya Crawford delivered impressive performances in the women’s shot put, finishing second and third respectively. Lemongo launched the shot to a distance of 15.97 meters,while Crawford achieved a season-best 15.41-meter toss. Meanwhile, freshman Emeka Ugwu made his mark on the men’s side with a personal best of 16.26 meters in the shot put, breaking through the 16-meter barrier for the first time this season.

Eva Baldursdottir continued her winning streak in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.76 meters to claim her second consecutive title. Teammate Alesia Rengle secured second place with the same impressive clearance, showcasing her dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Sprinter Je’Nyia Burton continued her reign of dominance, claiming victory in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races. Her blistering 23.89-second finish in the 200-meter solidified her position as a force to be reckoned with, as she was the only competitor out of 28 to break the 24-second barrier. “It feels amazing to win again and show everyone what I’m capable of,” Burton shared, radiating confidence after her victory.

Caleia Johnson followed closely behind Burton, securing a commendable second-place finish in the 200-meter with a personal best time of 24.08 seconds. Sydney McCallum also contributed to Pitt’s strong showing, achieving a season’s best 24.90 seconds for a top-ten finish.
