sick leave can no longer exceed three days in the event of teleconsultation

Article 28 of the social security financing bill specifies that the prescription of a longer leave will require a physical examination “to ensure that the state of health of the insured person is not at risk of worsening “.

This is a strong measure which is part of the strategy to monitor the relevance of sick leave expenses. Article 28 of the social security financing bill aims to regulate certain consultation practices. It will no longer be possible to benefit from a work stoppage of more than three days. Beyond this duration, the prescription of a work stoppage will require a physical examination in order to ‘ensure that the state of health of the insured person is not likely to worsen’.

“If teleconsultation can constitute one of the answers to the challenges of access to care, the expansion of this practice must be accompanied by vigilance regarding the quality of prescriptions and the proper consideration of patients’ needs”, estimates the government in its report.
