The Criminal Investigation Service, in compliance with 14 search, search and seizure warrants, seized in an illegal open-air workshop, in the Belo Monte neighborhood, municipality of Cacuaco, and in other parts of Luanda, 27 Changan brand electric vehicles, model Oulove, for alleged fraud.
According to a note sent to the newspaper OPAÍS, the vehicles were in the possession of several citizens, potential buyers, but who, due to evidence of the crime of fraud, as they failed to pay the monthly installments for full ownership of the asset, were reported.
The company China Angola, in August this year, agreed to sell electric vehicles to some citizens, with payment in installments, but, to date, they have not honored their commitment, with the aggravating factor of deactivating the vehicles’ GPS.
Without the company being able to detect or monitor the company, the commercial area tried to contact potential customers, but they stopped answering the calls, which led to them being reported to the SIC. The aforementioned company suffered losses valued at 8,700,000 Kz, for each electric vehicle
