Shure has not launched a new headset for a while. As the end of the year consumer season approaches, Shure has recently released a new generation of wireless headphones, the AONIC 50 GEN 2, which is expected to be launched in September and is priced at US$349, equivalent to approximately HK$2,730. The shell of the new model is not much different, except that it is changed to all black, which is more stylish. The second generation uses the same 50mm unit, but has been upgraded in terms of noise reduction technology. The microphones inside and outside the earmuffs are fully upgraded and adopt hybrid active noise reduction technology. Paying equal attention to noise reduction effect and sound quality, the new “MaxAware” mode can not only remove the surrounding noise, but also amplify and hear the voices outside. The second-generation headphones also add a new spatial sound effect mode, which uses a unique algorithm to present a natural and broad sound field. There are also three modes to choose from: music, theater, and radio. In terms of Bluetooth specifications, it supports LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, Snapdragon Sound, and aptX Voice for calls. In addition to Bluetooth connection, it also supports USB and 3.5mm connection playback. When connected via USB, 32bit/384kHz music can be played.
