“Al-Shura” demands the “Mental Health Center” for a scholarship plan
The Shura Council called on the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health to prepare a strategic plan for scholarships in coordination with the Ministry of Education within the program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for scholarships, to provide the required human competencies. Al-Rabhi to support and finance his work and initiatives, and Al-Shura called on the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health to review its organizational structure and determine the names of departments in accordance with their tasks, work and organizational level, and link the internal audit unit with the first official in the center.
In another decision, the Council called on the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities – in coordination with the General Authority for Statistics – to carry out a scientific replication of the national survey conducted by the General Authority for Statistics in the field of disability in 2017, with the need to control variables, develop methodologies, and define terminology. The Council, in its decision to support the authority’s efforts to obtain data on persons with disabilities from various sectors, called on the authority to develop indicators to measure compliance with the application of universal access program guides, and to expedite the creation of a unit or department concerned with cybersecurity.
The Shura decisions stressed the study of laws and regulations related to disability in the Kingdom, and work – in coordination with the concerned authorities – to harmonize them, by making the necessary amendments to them, in line with the characteristics and needs of persons with disabilities.
