“Shura Council Calls for Strategic Plan on Scholarships and Disabilities Care”

Today (Monday), the Shura Council called on the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health to prepare a strategic plan for scholarships, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, within the program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for scholarships, to provide the required human competencies.

During its meeting held today, the Council demanded the center to review its organizational structure and to determine the names of the departments, in proportion to their tasks, work and organizational level, in addition to linking the internal audit unit of the center with its first official.

He also called for the center to prepare a plan to develop its own resources, including coordination and partnership with the private sector, the endowment sector, and the non-profit sector to support and finance its business and initiatives.

In another decision, the Council called on the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities to carry out a scientific re-conduct of the national survey conducted by the General Authority for Statistics in the field of disability in 2017, with the need to control variables, develop methodologies, and define terms.

He also called for supporting the Authority’s efforts to obtain data on persons with disabilities from various sectors, calling on the Authority to develop indicators to measure the extent of compliance with the implementation of the universal access program guides.
