Show host Jung Yoon-jung, who caused a stir by swearing during a live broadcast, will be permanently kicked out of Hyundai Home Shopping.
On the 3rd, Maeil Business News reported that as a result of internal broadcasting deliberation, Hyundai Home Shopping made a decision to ban Jeong Yoon-jung from appearing on its home shopping broadcast indefinitely.
An official from Hyundai Home Shopping told Maeil Business News, “As part of an inevitable measure to fulfill our public responsibility as a broadcaster, we have decided to suspend appearances indefinitely.”
In a live broadcast of Hyundai Home Shopping cosmetics sales in January, Jung Yoon-jung caused controversy by swearing, “I was going to go play with XX.”
When the production team asked for a correction, he said, “Can’t we treat home shopping like entertainment?”
When the controversy arose, Jung Yoon-jung said on SNS on the 17th, “I acknowledged the fact that I used inappropriate expressions during the broadcast, to be precise, using abusive language, and I apologize for the inconvenience and damage to my precious customers who have always been affectionate and interested in me, who must have been hurt by this. I sincerely bow my head in apology to all the broadcasters who had to endure it.”
